Powershell script to delete email items and subfolders under a specific folder from mailbox using EWS managed API in Office 365 or Exchange.

If you want to quickly Empty a specific folder including the subfolders or just the items from a specific folder then below script should be able to fulfill your requirement.

Note: if you are looking for a script to cleaning up of Deletions or Purges folder then please read my post here on the same.

Below are the perquisites before you can run this script to generate the report.

• Admin account should have application impersonation rights, you can follow this msdn post to setup the permissions. 
• Install EWS managed API on system where you plan to run the script from, if API is not installed, download the same from here

Note: Please install the latest version of EWS API, version 2.2 is currently being used, please edit the same in the script if you wish to run the same with the old version.

This Script can be useful to Quickly Empty a specific Folder in user mailbox, Can also delete subfolders under a specific folder.

Usage Example:

Empty Junk Email Folder From user Mailbox "Testuser@xzy.com"

Note: this script is currently set to take soft delete action if you wish to permanently delete items please change the same in the script.
